Balancing Calculator
The balancing calculator is a manual balancing system and calculates the weight positions on the grinding wheel flanges for optimal balancing results. It consists of a scale ring and manually adjustable weights, a vibration sensor and an interface for displaying the measured data. The vibration sensor measures the vibrations on the machine when the grinding wheel is rotating. The measured data are compared with the target value and the interface provides information on how the weights have to be shifted in order to eliminate the vibrations.
Balancing system with balancing head
A grinding machine can be balanced manually or automatically using a built-in or add-on balancing head, depending on the balancing electronics. The balancing calculator function is also possible with some systems. A slim balancing system for balancing a single grinding wheel consists of a balancing head (built-in or add-on variant), a current collector (wired, contactless or compact), a vibration sensor and electronics. Depending on the application, the operation and the visualization are located on an additional interface or on the machine control itself.
